1.The crude tanker fleet has expanded by a net 2.02% in dwt in the first half of the year. Just 43% of the 2020 order book was delivered in 1h20. There were no removals from the crude fleet again in June for the third consecutive month. 2.Net growth in the 10,000+ dwt dry bulk carrier fleet since 1 January reached 2.5% at the end of June (and 3.6% in the 65-99,999 dwt Panamax fleet). Total bulk carrier newbuilding deliveries in June were more than double May at 7.1 Mdwt, while deletions came to 2.2 Mdwt.
