What age where you when you started driving and what was your first car? I started driving my mother's Mini on private factory roads at the age often. I passed the driving test a week after my 17th birthday and never looked back. My first car was a 1959 Austin Cambridge inherited from my grandmother. Before too long I had fitted an MGB engine and other go faster bits! When Sue & I married we needed a second car. I wanted open car, an MG Midget maybe, but we couldn't afford that, so I bought a 1962 Morris Minor Convertible. We still have that car 42 years later.
