Palisade fencing for Borderlands electrification

Third-rail electrification of the Borderlands line (Wrexham-Bidston) would require installation of palisade fencing along most or all of the route's length, a newly-published study reveals. After a Freedom of Information Act request, the Welsh Government has belatedly released the 2008 electrification study by Network Rail, which estimated the cost of electrifying the entire route at £207million.
