London midland was due to bring its first Class 319 EMU into service on Sunday 20 September, when it was planned to work the 16.07 Watford Junction to St Albans Abbey. LM has taken four'319s' into its fleet to cover for the loss of seven Class 321 sets (Nos 321411-417) to ScotRail. While five '321 s'were diagrammed daily from the seven sets available, LM plans to use three of the four'319s'each day, with one unit working the'Abbey Flyer' service and a pair of units covering the 07.14 Bletchley to Euston and 17.05 Euston to Milton Keynes workings. Between the peaks the units will be stabled at Camden and they will return to Bletchley carriage sidings at the end of the day. Maintenance will be carried out by Siemens at its Kings Heath facility at Northampton.
