TRE TAKES ON HITACHI NAME

The railway engineering Company (TRE) has changed its corporate name to Hitachi Information Control Systems Europe. It says the new organisation brings together'the products and experience of TRE with advanced traffic management and information control products from Hitachi'. TRE was acquired by Hitachi in 2012. The firm provides simulators, modelling and automatic route setting systems as well as supply, integration and support services for traffic management systems.The change comes on the back of the award to Hitachi of the contract to supply Traffic Management System (TMS) software to Network Rail for theThameslink core section between Blackfriars and St Pancras.The new company will be responsible for delivering the technical scope of the project, including simulators, automatic routing systems and the Tranista Traffic Management Platform.
