Galliford Try building Perry Barr station

GALLIFORD TRY has won a £10 million contract to build the new station at Perry Barr, Birmingham.The new structure will replace the ageing previous facility and will include new lifts and better access. The public realm between the station, bus interchange and local shopping facilities will also be improved and the subway decommissioned. The previous station closed in May to allow rebuilding to begin, with the aim of completing the work in times for the Commonwealth Games next year, during which the station will play an important role due to its proximity to the Alexander stadium.
