When you have a fleet of 10 electric lift trucks that can run two to three shifts a day, battery cool-down periods shouldn't be overlooked. Of course what should happen and what does happen don't always match when operators are rushing to fill orders. Another challenge to cool-downs was the fact we didn't have enough fresh batteries to go around with all our lift trucks. That led to situations where employees pulled the first charged battery they saw.
