Last quarter, CFOs faced a barrage of domestic and global developments that led to decidedly mixed sentiment and expectations, according to Deloitte's CFO Signals report. On the one hand, uncertainty and challenges emerged related to Brexit, deflationary pressures in the eurozone, growth challenges in China and a chaotic run-up to the U.S. elections. On the other hand, equity, housing and labor markets improved significantly, and several measures of consumer confidence indicated strength.
