Curved turnouts are real space savers, since they allow you to begin a diverging route on a curve instead of a straight section. This arrangement results in longer sidings and eliminates S curves. The diverging track of a curved turnout is of a tighter radius than the main track. The curve radii or degree of curvature is often given in catalog listings. Many manufacturers sell N scale curved turnouts, including Atlas code 55 2VA"/15", Peco code 80 and code 55 10 degree, Tomix 45 degree, and Minitrix 42 degree.
