Like many of you, I have locomotives and freight cars that have been in my collection for a while. One example is an HO scale Electro-Motive Division SD45 diesel locomotive decorated for Seaboard Coast Line (SCL) that was produced by Life-Like in its Proto 2000 series. The model had a lot of fine details, but it was direct current and lacked sound.
