MobiCom 2010 Poster: Elevator as a Mobile Sink for High-Rise Structure Monitoring

Recently wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are widely suggested for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) [4][1][2], where diverse sensors are deployed on a structure, collecting ambient data from various lo cations and reporting them to a central base station to further process and diagnose. One example is the SHM system being deployed on the Guangzhou New TV Tower (GNTVT) in Guangzhou, China.
