An outward-looking council in Wales is seeking an exceptional finance director who wants to broaden their experience and responsibilities through leading strategic change across the organisation. Neath Port Talbot Council is looking for a Corporate Director, Finance and Strategic Programmes to join its senior management team following a retirement. The two key areas of responsibility in the post are finance and digital and the new post of Chief Digital Officer will report to the director (who will also be the s151 officer). The post holder will also have wider responsibilities outside the immediate finance remit. The successful candidate will lead on the council's digital strategy, chair its post-pandemic recovery strategy and lead a review on the council's key corporate functions such as digital transformation, accommodation strategy, new income sources and use of resources.
