An exciting and challenging director's post tackling planning and climate change is on offer in one of the country's most attractive rural locations. North Norfolk DC is looking for an energetic director to join a four-person leadership team following a recent reorganisation. The successful candidate will take responsibility for planning and planning policy, sustainable economic growth, coast and climate change. Steve Blatch, chief executive of North Norfolk DC, said: 'I have recently taken forward a management restructuring creating a new senior team of three directors to work with me, covering resources, communities and place and climate change. Two of the director posts have been filled internally but we are now seeking someone for the post of director for place and climate change.' Responsibility for planning policy includes preparing the local plan for up to 10,000 additional homes by 2036. The council has a strong reputation of delivering rural exceptions housing developments and has recently agreed to allocate a further £1m of section 106 monies to deliver new affordable homes in the District.
