The fact of the matter is that our population is aging. Good health care, healthy lifestyles, up until recently, have led to many of us living into our 8o's and beyond. In 1950, 19% of the population was made up of older people, in 2007 it made up 27% ! Forecasts show that by 2050 we shall have 50% !! Our perceptions of retirement and what it means have to change.
