Birmingham City Council has unveiled plans to create 10,000 new jobs and 1,400 new homes in the Longbridge area. Council leader, Mike Whitby, launched the Long-bridge area action plan last week, which set out a 15-year vision for the former industrial area, which was home to the MG Rover plant. The plan will transform the area with a new shopping centre, homes and an improved public transport system.
