Serco profits fall despite increase in order intake

Outsourcing company Serco has reported a £15m decline in underlying profit for the first half of this year compared to 2016. The company recorded £50.6m in the first half of 2016, compared with just £35.3 this year. But Serco's chief executive Rupert Soames said that this has not come as a surprise.
