Council raises £1.5m from property sales

Enfield LBC has raised more than £1.5m after two of its properties went under the hammer at auction. The first property featuring empty shops, homes and a council depot in Hertfordshire will raise £820,000. Enfield also raked in almost £700,000 after selling the 19th century Front Lodge in Trent Park, which originally functioned as a gatehouse to a mansion.
