Growing Interest in PSP Partnerships

There is growing interest in PSP partnerships following the launch of the £500m PSP Relational Partnering Fund at The MJ Future Forum in March. Over 30 councils have now expressed an interest in establishing PSP partnerships. Shire counties, districts and unitaries of different sizes and political make-up have responded so far with particular interest from potential 'Powerhouse' councils in the North and the Midlands. The Isle of Wight Council's Cabinet has already agreed to set up a PSP partnership and it will be the first new council to access the £500m fund. It will join the 10 existing pathfinder authorities who make up the Council Consortium Group (CCG) who share knowledge, experience and improvement opportunities for the benefit of existing and new partnerships.
