Meeting called to quell issues over health service funding

The leader of Plymouth City Council has called for a meeting with the chief executive of NHS England over the way local services are funded. Speaking after it was announced that health services in Devon would be put into special measures by NHS England, Cllr Tudor Evans called for an urgent meeting with health boss Simon Stevens. Cllr Evans warned 'when the health service is under pressure the local authority picks up the fallout.
