Hosting solar panels will put councils back in the black

Local government will be offered the chance to secure investment in their communities by hosting solar panels on their property. A partnership has been formed to seek out energy projects on council sites where the financial benefits of solar energy from the Government's feed-in tariffs can be reinvested back into the community. Revenue from the feed-in tariffs will be used to support social enterprises and educational services targeting fuel poverty.
