Councils 'failing to supply care data' says report

A new report by the NHS' Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) has highlighted council failures in supplying key social care data.The HSCIC collects information from local authorities on social care activity, expenditure and abuse of vulnerable adults.Released on 19 July, the report found that seven local authorities returned data collections with 15% to 20% of data incomplete, and two councils submitted a return with more than 20% missing.
