MPs praise ombudsman's 'improved service1

The Commons communities and local government select committee has praised the Local Government Ombudsman's (LGO) 'positive response' to a highly-critical report into its operations. In July, the committee urged the LGO to improve its performance in providing redress for public complaints about local services, amid concerns the body was taking too long to determine some cases.
