It was Tory grandee, Norman Tebbit, who once famously said that the financially-challenged should get on their bikes to find gainful employment. But former Newham LBC chief executive, Joe Duckworth, is taking this advice one stage further. Mr Duckworth, who is to become chief executive of the League Against Cruel Sports at the end of June, is doing a sponsored bike ride around the coast of Britain to highlight his new organisation's campaign against dog fighting.
