How long have you been in your current role? 4 years Previous key jobs: Corporate Director of Regeneration and Culture Leicester; Assistant Head of Operations York; self employed designer/ performer/maker. What was your big break, when was it and where? I don't know that I've had one single big break. I've had lots of breakthrough moments, luck, insights and help from mentors and colleagues. Two breaks/decisions changed my life: • My decision aged 40 that I couldn't faff about as a self employed layabout forever and that local authorities were the major funders of the arts, so that's where I should hang my hat.
