Ealing LBC has had to fork out more than half-a-mil-lion pounds after a virus brought down its computer system causing chaos. The virus struck after an unnamed employee plugged a memory stick into a PC at the council's social services and housing department in Southall.The Tory-led council was forced to cut Internet and phone links to protect its core systems and data, and it took several weeks for normal services to resume.lib-Dem councillor, Gary Malcolm, also an IT specialist, said: 'I will be calling for heads to roll.'
