Sector jostles on claims for EU funding after Brexit

Pressure is mounting for an overhaul of how EU funding is distributed when it is replaced post-Brexit.The Government has pledged to create a UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) to continue supporting economic development when EU structural funding ends.In a draft document, seen by The MJ, the Rural Services Network (RSN), which represents 154 local authorities, has argued that the new fund should replace the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development after Brexit.
