Harrow LBC is poised to restore the post of chief executive less than a year after axing the role, following a consultation of the London borough's staff and members. Harrow scrapped the role of chief executive in January by the-then Conservative administration, following the departure of the previous top officer, Michael Lockwood, in November 2013. But some two-thirds of 384 Harrow staff and members responded to a survey saying they favoured a return to the role of chief executive - last held by Mr Lockwood, who is currently executive director for finance and policy at the Local Government Association.
