Profitable partnerships in tough times

Our workshop at The MJ Future Forum (pictured) looked at how profitable partnerships might benefit local authorities by delivering both service efficiencies and additional revenue streams. The workshop considered the ingredients necessary to make a partnership profitable such as: agreement on common objectives; valuing the contributions of both parties; and understanding and recognising what success would look like. It also investigated what distinguishes partnerships from traditional, contractual relationships and the relative risks and rewards each can bring.
