Charity job for Duckworth

Joe Duckworth, former chief executive of Newham LBC and Isle of Wight Council, is the new chief of the League Against Cruel Sports. Mr Duckworth will join the charity in July and replaces retiring chief executive Douglas Batchelor. The former council chief said the charity's priorities remained 'securing the future of the Hunting Act'; 'work to end dog-fighting once and for all' and work to 'expose the cruelty of game bird shooting'.
