The Three Rivers Way Story

In a picturesque part of the north Norfolk Broads, where rivers meander through gentle countryside, residents are demonstrating that community action can be a powerful force. The villages of Hoveton, Horning, Ludham and Potter Heigham are surrounded by glorious countryside, but locals and visitors cannot get from village to village safely unless they travel by car. It is too dangerous to walk along the narrow, winding A1062, and cycling can be risky. Local people are channelling their energy into a project aiming to link the villages with a safe route designed for walkers, cyclists and people with mobility problems. The Three Rivers Way would incorporate pathways, quiet lanes and traffic calming measures in a leisurely loop between the villages.
