Library's retail site faces hard sell

Hammersmith & Fulham LBC is set to open a state-of-the-art library in the middle of the largest shopping centre in inner LondonShepherd's Bush Library will be situated at Westfield London, the 43-acre retail centre opened in 2008, and will begin serving residents later this summer.The library will include wi-fi Internet access and music mixing software, as well as traditional book, film and music-lending services. It will alsoincorporate a 'Workzone' employment area, with interview facilities for jobseekers.
