Teaming with jobs

Bristol City Council has teamed up with social housing providers to tackle unemployment in the city, following a pilot scheme which found work for 25 out of 87 residents facing multiple barriers to employment. The council has commissioned a dedicated worker to support unemployed residents to find work, in co-operation with registered social landlords forming part of the Bristol Housing Partnership. Jasmine Gozzard, full-time employment and learning officer, said she worked one-to-one with each on 'whatever they need to empower them to find training or jobs'.
