Back office outsourcing firm, Liberate, has declared it has put its troubled history behind it and is forging ahead with new local government business. The 36-year-old company organised a presentation in the City last week to tell clients and analysts of its recent restructuring, and unveiling details of its new shared service innovation, the Capacity Grid. liberata was saddled with a huge pension fund deficit, a legacy of its previous financial services business, sold in 2008, which forced it almost to bankruptcy.
