A league table of the UK's 'happiest' regions will be published annually un-der prime minister David Cameron's plan to expand Whitehall measure-ments of wellbeing beyond economic benchmarks. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has told The MJ it will publish annual regional breakdowns of re-sponses to a life satisfaction' survey, which will attempt to measure how happy citizens are with their lives. But a spokeswoman for the statis-tical service said it was 'unlikely' the geographic breakdown of UK satisfac-tion surveys would present results for each local authority.
