There has been much in the news lately about safeguarding adults at risk. Take one group. Older people. Recently, care services minister Paul Burstow said older people were often being treated as 'objects'. His comments came at the same time as the launch of a code of conduct for care workers and nurses which calls for patients and service-users to be treated with dignity and respect.Mr Burstow said that it was time to challenge the 'institutional ageism' in our health and social care systems.There can be big challenges when delivering care and support.
