The leader of Derbyshire CC has warned the Government is placing an Impossible burden' on local authorities with the prospect of further budget cuts. Cllr Anne Western said the county council is facing £157m of budget cuts by 2016 - £21m more than originally expected. 'Mr Pickles and his coalition government have already demanded more cuts to council spending than to any other public service, including their own departments,' said Cllr Western.
