Companies in the North West of England have led the way with applications for the latest round of Regional Growth Fund (RGF). The Government confirmed on 5 April it has received more than 300 applications for a share of the ￡350m in the RGF's fourth round. Applications from the North West accounted for 19% of all the bids, with 58 programmes and attentions vying for ￡315m of funding. The Government also received applications from 41 projects and programmes in the South East, which represented 13% of all the bids.
