A complaint against Thanet DC chief executive Dr Sue McGonigal has been dismissed as unfounded following an independent investigation. In a report, which went before the council's general purposes committee on 23 October, the designated independent person, Mark Lowe QC, dismissed the complaint, which was brought by Green Party member, Cllr Ian Driver. It concerned allegations that Dr McGonigal attempted to influence the planning department over an application to build homes on the Eurokent business park.
