£2.6m highway deal for Oxford

An agreement has been struck that will lead to Oxford City Council's wholly-owned company providing highway maintenance services on behalf of the county. The £2.6m agreement with Oxford Direct Services will last for up to five years. Oxfordshire CC will continue to provide highway maintenance throughout the rest of the county, as well as major road, bridge and streetlight projects in the city through contractor Skanska.
