Health chief: STPs not a one-size fits all option

Sustainability and transformation partnerships (STPs) are not a 'one-size-fits-air option, a top health chief has claimed.Speaking at The MJ Future Forum, deputy chief executive of NHS Providers, Saffron Cordery called into question the direction and accountability of STPs. She said: 'We need to take a differentiated approach. To map this to a local context is fundamental.'There is a lack of clarity in terms of the direction of travel.What do we want STPs to achieve? That lack of clarity in terms of the direction and what the end point is, is fundamental. At the moment we don't know where accountability lies for STPs or integrated care systems.
