Excellent services with a poor image

Labour can point to some very real successes in public services over the last decade. Our extra investment has delivered shorter waiting lists, lower crime figures and vastly improved local government. But there is one major challenge: too often, these improvements have not connected with people's everyday experiences. The result is a performance paradox that is immensely frustrating for hard working public servants across the country. We have better public services, but declining public trust and satisfaction.
