The new context for chief executives

This week's Solace Summit in York sees the release of an intriguing new report entitled: 'Asking the right questions: The need for transformational and new contextual leadership skills for local authority chief executives'. Co-produced by Solace, Skills for Local Government and the Local Government Association (LGA), the research project behind the report was prompted by a desire to stimulate discussion on the rapidly changing and complex environment in which chief executives operate, and the consequent evolution of the skillsets they need to possess.
