A deal that will allow Lancashire CC to distance itself from its controversial partnership with BT has been struck after months of talks. The jointly owned company created when the council formed its partnership with BT, One Connect Limited (OCL), will become wholly owned by the British multinational and renamed from 31 March. Lancashire made the announcement in a carefully worded press release after a behind-closed-doors agenda item in Friday's cabinet meeting discussed the council's strategic review of its partnership with BT.
