Warning over lack of council-run care homes' lack of older documents

Lawyers for the national inquiry into child sexual abuse have issued a warning over the absence of older documentation on alleged abuse at council-run care homes in Nottinghamshire. The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) opened public hearings into Nottinghamshire-related allegations at Trent Bridge cricket ground on 1 October. Counsel to the inquiry, Patrick Sadd, revealed the inquiry had reviewed 150,000 pages of documentation, with some 32,000 disclosed.
