German Ministry of Defense through the German Federal Office for Defense Technology and Procurement (Bundesamt fuer Wehrtechnik und Beschaffung, or BWB).Status. Development completed. Production is continuing.Total Produced. The first production TAURUS missiles were delivered to the German Air Force in November 2004. Germany procured 600 TAURUS missiles. Spain ordered 43 units.Approximately 712 missiles were built by the end of 2017. Some sources claim deliveries to South Korea are proceeding faster than planned, with 40-60 missiles handed over by the end of 2016.Application. A modular standoff weapon system designed to attack (dayight) a variety of stationary and moving targets (including armored targets).Price Range. The price of the KEPD 150 system ranges between $400,000 and $690,000 apiece; the KEPD 350, from $940,000 to $1.2 million.
