Executive Director's Message

Well we're off and running at the State Legislature and bills are being introduced; some to fulfill campaign promises that really will never be pursued and others that their sponsors intend to push to the finish line. Sadly we seem to be following other states with legislatures controlled by Republicans and following the anti public employee toxic environment that has swept our country. Apparently it is trendy to pick a group or class of people and make them the target and the villains of all our problems. After all it must be public employees that have caused our economy to tank; our housing market to collapse; and unemployment to soar. Of course it is. So let's go after them to get even. People are angry and government employees are an easy target.
