Tucked away in the first-ever issue of MiniWorld, among a group test of highly modified Minis, is a 112bhp (at the wheels) 1430 with eye-catching white and orange paintwork and a set of orange Revolutions. Poking out of the bonnet, there was a pancake air filter, which suggests there was a downdraft Weber feeding the A-Series motor. The car in question belonged to Jason King, who eventually sold it to two brothers. One got the engine and the other got the car, which he took to the north of Scotland.
