I am going to replace the dampers on my Mini. Will lowering the suspension at the same time improve its handling? Fitting a set of uprated dampers will improve the handling of your Mini but you will have to makernsure adjustables are set properly to benefit from them. Lowering will make a further improvement, if you like sporty handling, and is worthwhile if you do not regularly carry passengers in the rear. A Hi-Lo or Adjusta-Ride system also makes it much simpler to adjust corner weights. Lowering, arguably, also improves the look of a Mini. Shorter dampers must be fitted to lowered Minis.
