All choked up

We've all be there I'm sure. You start bolting something together then realise just two hands just are not enough. I realised this when it came to bolting the twin SU HS4 11/2-inch carbs, supplied by Burlen Fuel Systems. Bolting the first one onto the custom Maniflow stainless inlet manifold was easy enough but then fitting the second carb in place, with the linkage correctly aligned, was rather an awkward process. I've also fitted a stainless steel heat shield from Mini Spares. As mentioned in a previous issue, I had to use stepped washers, which Stuart Wright made for me, along with ARP manifold bolts.
