The morning of Friday, 29 July, began with 'mizzle' (a mix of mist and drizzle). Mokes gathered at the Pennance Mill 'Moke Zone' in Falmouth, Cornwall, filling the air with that well known A-series whine. As the evening dust settled the pasties arrived and survival packs were issued, as well as the T-shirts. Saturday started with a group-up at Events Square, in front of the National Maritime Museum, in Falmouth. 28 Mokes were arrayed under blue sky and bright sun and the Mayor of Falmouth, Cllr. Grenville Chappel and his wife June welcomed club members and wished us a safe journey.
